ST. ANTHONY COMMUNITY CENTRE, SIOLIM

St. Anthony Community Centre Complex was built in 1987, during the tenure of the Parish Priest of Siolim Church, Rev. Fr. Adolfo Crasto Viegas from Taleigao, in the church property called “Padr Vigarachem Bhattlem” which was a paddy field for the maintenance of the Parish Priest and his Assistants.


The foundation stone was blessed and laid by Most Rev. Ignatius Lobo, from Gaunsavaddo, the Bishop of Belgaum, on 28th Decemeber, 1982, during the Platinum Jubilee Celebration of the church.


The complex was blessed by Rev. Fr. Adolfo C. Viegas, the Parish Priest of Siolim Church and inaugurated by Shri. Mahadev Govekar, Sarpanch of Siolim – Marna Panchayat, on 1 st January,1987.

The Architect was Shri. Anthony Lobo from Gaunsavaddo Siolim.


The complex has 54 shops, sold on ownership basis. 20 shops are in the front side, facing the main road; 20 shops are back side, facing the playground; and 7 shops and the toilets are in each side of the complex. These 14 shops are most specious than the others.
