St. John continues to place before us the idea of Jesus as the good shepherd, who is the DOOR to the sheepfold. Jesus is the WAY, Jesus is the DOOR and Jesus is the LIFE. With these expressions Jesus tells us about the intimacy that exists between Him as the shepherd and His disciple as a sheep. This intimacy is the key to recognise His voice, to accept Him as a leader, to directly follow Him and to ENTER the door which leads to Life and Life in ABUNDANCE.
